As our members and supporters know, shale development has yielded unprecedented benefits to our state and region. Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen higher and new forms of revenue for the state and our communities; strong environmental protections; new opportunities for landowners, families, and workers; and a manufacturing renewal that has positively impacted all corners of the commonwealth.
But layers of new energy taxes on job creators and consumers as well as numerous other measures are threatening this new economic growth. We’ve seen the public opinion polls that show strong support for shale development. On May 6, our friends at the Marcellus Shale Coalition are bringing that support to the steps of the Pa. capitol.
The rally will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Metro Bank Park, City Island, and meet at the Capitol Steps in Harrisburg at 1:00 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided from locations throughout the state. For more information and to register, visit www.shaleadvocates.com.
Can’t wait to see you there!
