The response to the formation of the Delaware Valley Marcellus Association (DVMA) has been outstanding! Since news of the Association broke nine days ago, we have received 45 applications for membership and 53 RSVPs to our inaugural meeting.

We’ve been contacted by other associations around the Commonwealth who are excited to partner with us in educating businesses in the Delaware Valley to the opportunities that will be available through responsible Marcellus Shale development. Other local businesses have been reaching out eagerly to get involved.

I’d like to share the kind words of a representative from one such business, John Paton of American Energy Transfer LLC. In a recent email John said, “We’re excited about the DVMA and find it to be a natural fit to link businesses in the Delaware Valley to the action in the Marcellus Shale. We wish something like this would have been born long ago! Great job putting the site together!”

We are pleased to find that so many of you agree, and we are overwhelmed by your support of our mission.

If you haven’t already RSVP’d for our June 12 inaugural meeting, please be sure to do so. We look forward to seeing you there!
